Snow Day

Recently we had some snow and it looked so gorgeous at dusk so of course I had to take pictures!  I was not about to brave the elements so these were taken from my back porch. Nonetheless, I think the coolness of the snow in the foreground and the warmth of the streetlights in the background made for some interesting shots. Plus I finally got to use the snow setting on my Nikon! Enjoy.

Pet Portraits

Recently I’ve acquired a Nikon D5000. Photography has always been a hobby of mine but this is my first DSLR. Although I feel I’ve outgrown my old digital camera, the number of things I can do with my DSLR is a little intimidating. In an attempt to learn all of these new features, I’ve been tinkering around the house taking pictures of things that don’t move around a lot. The result is lots of pet photos.

Hello and welcome!

If you’re wondering what this blog is all about, we have that in common. This is something I’ve wanted to do for quite some time, but I still don’t know exactly what the point of this blog will be. I have many interests and a plethora of opinions, so a lack of content shouldn’t be a problem. I also have horrible ADD so harnessing all of these thoughts into one central theme might not come so easily. Hopefully over time a motif will reveal itself. Until then, I hope you find my musings amusing.
